Young Ephemeral looks at time as infinite, living in the moment, as children are prone to do. Her favorite activity is to play with her friends, the dolls, in Dreamworld. However, when Mrs. Goodnight suddenly disappears and brings Mr. Morning with her, it is up to her and The Chorus of Dolls, led by the intelligent and veratious Doc Green, to find Mrs. Goodnight, bring her back home and wake up Ephemeral’s parents from an eternal sleep.
